THE BUTTERBOX BABIES
This archived discussion is "read only". « Previous 1 2 3 Next » » Mountain_lady - Butterbox Babies Well...I can imagine those two walking that long lonely road that we all must walk some day. Only along the way were all those little angels they killed. Wonder how they faced them?Yeap..it is horrible to hear of such deeds but it still is true even today. That and so much more. I will never understand how one human can hurt another. How can they do harm to a child? Something so innocent and pure...I will never understand. I know that the Lord tells us not to judge but you just can't help but wish the worse for people like that. Thanks Mary for the story. I have never heard about Butterbox Babies before. As horrid as it was it was an interesting piece of history that the human race needs to learn from. Hugs... -- posted by Mountain_lady » AnneWatkins - Re: Butterbox Babies In response to message posted by Mountain_lady:What a compelling, heartbreaking story. I look at my sweet little Bailey Bug and just can't understand how anybody could harm a baby or child. How is Dwight? I'm remembering you all in my prayers. Tell the boys Bailey is doing fine and says hello. hugs, -- posted by AnneWatkins » Red - Re: incredible! In response to message posted by SandyMcC:Sandy, I agree that anyone who could treat children like this do not have hearts. Babies are sooo precious. My heart goes out to all the mothers involved in this tragedy. Many think their babies died many years ago and they are alive and well. I'm glad these people were caught and Ideal shut down but I don't believe the punishment justified the crimes. They should both have been jailed for life. I would imagine that area has its share of spirits. Wouldn't it be interesting to interview some of the locals? Take care and thanks so much for stopping by. -- posted by Red » Red - Re: Butterbox Babies In response to message posted by Mountain_lady:Bert, I can't imagine why the courts don't crack down really hard on those who abuse or kill children. I just found out this morning that the woman in Texas was found guilty of murdering 5 of her children. She will either get 40 years in prison or the death penalty. I agree with the jury. I think she knew right from wrong when she committed the crimes. How could a mother or anyone else do such a thing? Glad you enjoyed the story, sad as it is. Canada does have skeletons in its closet, just like any other country. I wanted to make people aware of the atrocities committed at Ideal. Take care, Bert. Hope all is well in Arkansas. -- posted by Red » Red - Re: Re: Butterbox Babies In response to message posted by AnneWatkins:Anne, I hope Bailey is doing well. I agree. How can anyone harm a helpless baby? They are sooo precious, as you know. You are going to have some wonderful times with Bailey. Dwight goes to see the sleep specialist this morning. He is doing a little better, thanks. Sorry I was so long posting a reply to these postings. It's been a hectic week. -- posted by Red » Red - Re: What an outrageous story, Mary In response to What an outrageous story, Mary posted by jerrib:Jerri, The nice thing about the internet is, you are never too late to read an article. Most of them are archived so we can catch up later. Yes, this was a tragedy. It's hard to believe. People in that province usually stick together - more like country folk. I'm surprised those two weren't tarred and feathered for their actions when the townspeople found out. Take care, Jerri. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I was just wondering what other skeletons Canada has in her closet. These types of articles seemed to be popular. -- posted by Red » 4naturalfamily - WOW - Good history lesson Just want to say thanks for the history lesson on the Butterbox babies. It's a tragedy that people are so cruel to single mothers and force them to surrender their babies for adoption. Unfortunately it still occurs today. Here's an article about Infant Adoption Awareness Training - Why Infant Adoption Awareness Training Must be Ended http://www.exiledmothers.com/speaking_ou... And another very interesting story about a mother forced to surrender her baby for adoption but who later adopted her daughter back. http://www.adoptingback.com/adopteddaugh... Language that is biased or “positive” toward adoption benefits the adoption industry in getting more babies for "sale" and in building a "market" for babies. Honest language that is not biased toward adoption must be reinstated in order to protect American children and families. -- posted by 4naturalfamily « Previous 1 2 3 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
