» Sunbear - Library and opera house

Hi Red,

Well, I certainly learned something new here, as I often do.

Good to know that this place exists. Perhaps, I will visit some day on a holiday to New England and eastern Canada.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom,

I'm sure you would enjoy the Haskell Free Library and Opera House very much. It is so unique. Walk in the front door from the US and walk out the back door into Canada. What an experience.

I hope that someday you will be able to visit the library.

Thanks for dropping by. I always enjoy you visits here.

What an interesting article. I love the idea of a cross border library. That woman was ahead of her time. I do wonder though, now with the increased security at borders does the US or Can. have someone there to check that they don't go in one door and out the other? ME

Mary Ellen,

This library is magnificent. Wouldn't it be wonderful to go in the front door in the US and out the back door into Canada. I do believe that when you go out the doors, there are custom officials to check with. Glad you enjoyed the article. Hope all is well with you.

What a brilliant idea! The building *and* the article. One more place I just *have* to visit when (if) my ship comes in. My other chosen port of call is naturally Hay on Wye!

Sally,

This building is very unique and I hope that one day you can get to the Vermont/Canada border to tour it.

I hope your ship does come in and that you get to visit all of the places you dream of.

Hi Mary,

How interesting it is to read about a library in both Canada and the United States. That must have been quite an accomplishment for both Americans and Canadians.

I'm sorry I'm so late posting, but I have been bogged down with assignment for college. Hope you are doing well. Take care.

Shannon

Shannon,

How nice of you to drop by. I know that school is very challenging right now. You can do it and one day you will have your diploma in hand. It is all worth every minute of the time it takes to meet your goals.

The Haskell Free Library and Opera House is a fantastic place. I hope that one day you get to visit there. Walk in the front door on the American side and out the back door into Canada. Amazing.

Take care and drop by when you can, my friend.
