Yes, the shooting was all over the Canadian news and it is really sad. The picture in our paper showed a very handsome boy with huge, sparkling eyes. It makes you wonder why and what went awry to change him so much that he would kill. A very sad state of affairs.

I believe that the media plays a big part in these kind of killings. Just about 3 weeks ago 4 Mounties were killed in Alberta by a guy that should have been locked up years ago and the keys thrown away. Now their families have to live without the benefits of fathers and sons. One wife is carrying a baby that will never know its father because of a man who was evil. People hear about things like this and that sets their imaginations to working. If they have mental problems media coverage can have a great influence on their lives. Often even the people around them have no idea that they are so ill.
