» Red - Allison, thanks for...

dropping by.

I am glad to be able to enlighten my readers to the man behind the poem, "In Flanders Fields." For many years, I didn't know that it was written by a Canadian. I was both delighted and proud when I found out.

I have been to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial and Arlington Cemetery twice. Each time I stand in front of The Wall, I find tears pouring down my cheeks for what these men sacrificed. I believe that some of them are still in Asia as POW's.

Did you know there is a North Wall? That is a different story and one day I hope to do an article on it.

I watched the Remembrance Day ceremonies on CBC today and was touched at the Monument that marks the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He was only brought home this year and I had never seen it before.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your next visit. Your comments add much to my discussion area.

Have a great week.
