» Renie_Burghardt - Mary,

thank you for an interesting, informative article. I enjoyed learning about Canada's perspective of World War II. What an excellent piece.

I also see what you meant about the formatting problem. Hm, maybe you should ask Jason about it. I haven't had the problem yet.

Wonderful article, as always, with great photo's. I bet your Mom is proud of that photo of your Dad as a young soldier!

Take care. talk to you soon.

Renie

» Red - Renie, thanks so...

much for your lovely comments on my article and thanks for stopping by. You always add so much with your participation.

Yes, the formatting is a problem and I have written Jason a letter. Of course I won't hear from him on the weekend but I hope to hear from him Monday. Maybe it is just something simple, I hope.

Take care. Be sure to let me know when your next article comes out.

» shannon415 - Mary...

You have written a very informative article on Canada. It was well-written, and I'm glad you shared it with us.

I'm sorry it took me so long to find this article. The link you sent me was the link to your article, "A Lesson Learned," so I thought that was this week's article. You'll probably see my posting on in on your discussion board.

Take care, and I'm glad I finally found the right article.

Shannon

» Red - Shannon, sorry...

that I made the mistake. I probably sent the wrong article out to a lot of people. Guess I'd better resend it.

Hope all is well with you. Thanks for dropping by and leaving such nice comments in my discussion area. I am always pleased when people learn something about Canada.

» Tina_Coruth - Hi Mary,

Hi Mary,
Thank you for this very informative and inspiring article. The courage of the people and governments of Britain and Canada is something I admire very much. It was a terrible time, and while it demonstrated the dark side of human beings in some, it also showed the greatness of the human spirit in many more. It is wonderful that you honor all those who sacrificed so much. I join you in that.

I hope you are doing well!
Take care,
Tina

» Red - Tina, thanks for...

Tina, thanks for your kind words on my article. Yes, Canada and England for the most part were compassionate and kind to those who needed support.

Unfortunately, war is as old as the Earth and will continue forever. It would be nice to have peace on earth. But there is always a war going on somewhere.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be sending you an e-mail soon. Hope all is well with you.

» Red - Jerri, odd you ...

Jerri, odd you should ask. LOL Hubby did something to the computer last night and then used the recovery disc. 360 files of articles and stories ALL GONE!!!

I may as well be amused because there is no use crying, which is what I feel like doing. However, I have most on disc and the hard copies of all. Just a lot of work to get them restored.

Hope things are great with you.

» Mountain_lady - Canada Declares War

You have given us a look into the past history of Canada's part in the war. She lost a lot of good men and a lot of good men came home to her. Many that did return had their hidden scars. Let us not forget any of these courageous men that fought for freedom. Thanks Mary
