But I must tell you that this author who is known for his superb descriptions of people and places and pulling the reader in has nothing on you! What a marvelous narrative!! Everything about it was gold star. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place, which I will otherwise never see, hear, feel, touch or enjoy. What a special gift you gave to me.-- posted by Dubh_Sidhe » Red - Virginia, thank for ... stopping by. It is so nice to see you here.Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments on this piece. I am glad that I could touch you through my writing. Haliburton is a wonderful place. The area is scenic and the wonders of nature abound. It is a place that is dear to my heart and I wish that we could have gone this year. But at least I have this fantastic memory to enjoy. I am glad you dropped in and I certainly hope you will come back again soon. You are always welcome here. I also enjoyed a visit to your topic today. The story of the Magical Cottage was delightful. It was as if I were right there beside you. Thanks for your superb imaging, I had a magical visit. Hope all is well with you and yours. Take care, my friend. -- posted by Red » Red - Re: What a Lovely Trip! In response to message posted by beekay:
Thanks so much for the lovely comments on my article. I am glad that you have been exploring the "Nature's Treasures Event." That vacation was much too short. The experiences were awesome. Maybe when hubby has recuperated, we can do it again. -- posted by Red » Dan_Ellsworth - Spiritual Nutrition I haven't figured out all the elements of spiritual nutrition, but it appears that you and Dwight got hold of something very nourishing, with some very solid "stick-to-your-memory" durability. I hope you and he again can enjoy that delicious feeding of the inward person. In fact, it sounds like a good place to research this whole spiritual-nutrition concept, with nothing but a chair, iced tea, pencil and paper, and the generous and intricate craftsmanship of the natural world arrayed all around you.Believe your readers about "take you there" and "images": The clear-water lake is in my visual thoughts now, and I like it. -- posted by Dan_Ellsworth » Red - Re: Spiritual Nutrition In response to message posted by Dan_Ellsworth:Dan, that trip was the experience of a lifetime. Growing up on the farm, I have always loved animals and nature. I love your concept of "spiritual nutrition." I hadn't really thought of the trip in that light and thank you for bringing it to my attention. I am hoping that when Dwight has healed from his bypass that we can go there again. Hope all is well in your corner of the world. It is hot here but no humidity, so it doesn't drain ones energy. Except for the week that Dwight was in hospital, when it was hot and humid with very poor air quality, this has been a great summer. Thanks for dropping by. Your comments and support are much appreciated. -- posted by Red » ConnieT - Re: Virginia, thank for ... In response to message posted by Red:That trip sounded like total serenity. Being there and watching wildlife in their natural habitat is something you can't see in zoo's or on TV for that matter. Now I can't wait to get to the mountains this summer!! Take care... -- posted by ConnieT « Previous 1 2 3 4 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
