» silverslipper - Mother's Day

Hi Mary, sorry this is really late. I enjoyed your article very much. Very informative. I hope you and your mother had a wonderful day together. I spent the day on the farm with my mother and the rest of the clan. We had fried turkey that my brother fixed. It was sure good.
I forwarded your article to others in my family. I'm sure they will enjoy it as much as I did.
Till later...

» Red - Christina, thanks for ...

dropping by and leaving the lovely comments on my article. I did have a wonderful day with my Mom. How was your Mother's Day? I hope equally as enjoyable.

I hope that all is well with you. Did you get to see the grandkids on Mother's Day?

Take care and I will be visiting your column again soon.

By the way, are you going to contribute to Jerri's Fishing Event? It looks like it will be fantastic. I have already submitted an article and she has approved it. Take a look. I'm sure you can come up with something. There has to be good fishing in New Hampshire.

Hope to hear from you soon.

» Tina_Coruth - Yes, I had a wonderful mother's day.

Yes, I had a wonderful mother's day. I did see my grandchildren -- they live with me! Thanks for asking.

I am sure I will be able to come up with an article for Jerri's fishing event. I haven't been fishing in years, but as you mentioned, New Hampshire has plenty of good fishing opportunities!

Now, I have to go check out your fishing article.
Take care.

» Red - Christina, I am glad...

that you had a great Mother's Day. I had a nice one as well.

I remember now that your grandchildren live with you. That must be hard at times, though I am sure you enjoy them.

I had Jordan yesterday morning (Fri) and then we took him home and picked up Brandon. His birthday is next Saturday and we took him out to spend some money that he had received for his birthday from a friend of mine. Of course, he chose to buy trains. Then we took him out to eat at his favorite restaurant and they sang Happy Birthday to him and put moose antlers on him. They brought him an ice cream sundae with a sparkler in it. He was delighted.

When we got home, we put dahlias in the window boxes and then had to cover them up last night because they were calling for frost. But we had a great time doing it and the plants weren't hurt.

Brandon told me it was the most special day in his whole life. LOL Then, Jordan came back and they both stayed all night. By noon, I was ready for them to go home. I was exhausted. But it did them both good to have some one on one time with us here.

Brandon told his parents that yesterday was a very special day and he would always remember it. I was thrilled that he enjoys our company so much.

Take care. I have to check out the discussion on my fishing article. I imagine the message is from you.

Please keep in touch and have a great weekend.

» FromSpain - Mother's day

Just want to point that Mother's day is not May 11th all around the world but USA and Canada. In Spain it's the first Sunday in May.

In response to message posted by FromSpain:

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Mother's Day was May 12 in US and Canada this year. I will check the article again, as it was written over a year ago. Sorry for the confusion.
