» humorous_sage - Oberamergau, Germany Thank's for the lesson in history. You were very thorough.Have you ever been to Oberamergau for the passion play? If not, I hope you can make the trip some time in the future. We loved the play as well as the town. She loved it and said the town a quaint place. -- posted by Red » humorous_sage - Re: Re: Oberamergau, Germany In response to Re: Oberamergau, Germany posted by Red:If and when you make the trip, be sure to take a pillow along. Sitting on concrete for hours is hard on the back. Mary, Thanks for your thorough and straight-forward article about Mary. perfect for Women's Month and a pre-Easter article. I have been up into Quebec Province many times...pretty straight trip from western MA...and have marveled at the numbers and beauties of the shrines there dedicated to Mary. Again, thank you -- posted by Georgene A. Bramlage » Red - Re: Good Article In response to Good Article posted by Cercis:Georgene, Thanks for the comments on the article. Mary had a very hard life. Of all the places I've been, I've never been to Quebec. I've heard it is lovely and would like to visit one day. I've been to many other provinces. I must put Quebec on my agenda. -- posted by Red » 4naturalfamily - Mary was a young single mother Wonderful article. Was the birth of Jesus to his very young single mother meant as a message to people of all time? According to the story, "wise men" brought the finest gifts to honor this single Mother and Child. In modern times, people might say Mary "made poor choices" and that her son should be adopted-out. Many mothers have had their motherhood and their children dishonored, and been denied gifts to celebrate their child and their motherhood. Many women feel forced into an adoption or abortion "choice". Yet the Bible story leads us to believe that God supports mothers, not distinguishing whether they are single or married. -- posted by 4naturalfamily
