One of my problems is that one herbal medicine gave me heart palpitations. I probably won't take any more without a doctor's recommendation. Maybe my cardiologist will give me the scoop.

Henry,

Sorry that I've been so long answering your post. Lakota is available in a rub. You don't have to ingest it. It works terrific. I'm sure that it is available in your area.

» Fort_Spunky - Floral Food

Hi Mary,

I could almost feel that soft breeze blowing as I read your opening paragraph. What a lovely idea for a patio party.

Your article reminded me: A couple of years ago, I clipped out instructions for making a flower filled ice bowl. I haven't made one yet. Maybe this will be the year. It sounds easy. Making it is similar to the layered ice you mentioned, but after the first layer, you add another smaller bowl inside the first one and tape it to the larger bowl to anchor it. Then you put flowers in the space between the bowls and fill the space with water. Pop it in the freezer and weight it down so that it doesn't shift. Berries would also be pretty. Be sure and sit it on a tray when it's serving time to catch the drips as it melts. It sounds perfect for anything that needs to stay cold, like chicken salad.

Hope things are going well for you.

Linda

Linda,

You idea sounds lovely. It would be nice with either the flowers or berries. Both would be colorful and add a sense of enchantment to a table.

Glad you could join me at my dinner party. I always enjoy your visits.

I'm doing okay, thanks. A few problems, but as Grandma used to say, "This too shall pass."

Hope you are fine and the world is treating you right.

Mary

but fragrant in your dishes! I have allergies so I don't eat flowers, but I would be tempted if not the "allergy" type I am.

Jerri,

So nice that you stopped by for a visit. I'm sorry that your allergies prevent you from eating flowers. How have you been. When you have time, drop me an e-mail and update me.

I'll settle for boneset tea. My dad used to drink it to get rid of a variety of symptoms. It smelled so bad that I think it forced him to get well in order to get rid of the smell.
