Sage comments. Voters would be advised to be careful in their choices. Ennui and apathy can result in disaster such as has occured just south of us. Shady election activities, and subsequent pandering to big-money interests, plus colossal arrogance/stupidity, has decimated the positive growth there, and now threatens to alienate the rest of the world - with potentially catastrophic results.

» bridget1 - Results--an Election Update

As expected, the Liberals won all but 3 seats. They cannot find a room in the legislative building large enough to meet in. The Premier has indicated his intention to resign as leader of the New Democratic Party but has decided to wait until the re-counts are completed. Probably the most interesting fact from this election is that the Marijuana Party ran candidates in every constituency. There were also Green Party candidates and First Nations parties. A good picture of the BIG issues in the Province of British Columbia and of how many people feel dis-enfranchised and un-represented by the "old guards." BC politics is always interesting.
