» Toastee - Prairie Pilgrimage

Well, you've done it again. I consider you my personal coach on Canadian "stuff". I'm always amazed at how you can turn a brief walk into an interesting short story. I love the questions that you add in most of your articles to make your readers think their own thoughts and not just hear yours. Thank you for helping me to get in touch with nature and the beauty of our surroundings. You have encouraged me to become much more observant and appreciative of everything around me. You don't only give us a history lesson but you also include a spiritual outlook on important but often neglected issues. In this article you conclude with "If you sit there long enough, quietly enough, you can begin to feel it. The power, as it surges through you." I relate especially to this as I recently spent nearly two weeks sitting on the rocks near Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia feeling the thunderous waves and appreciating the power of the sea.

» bridget1 - Thank you, Toastee, and Welcome.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. We do have to sit still long enough to be able to feel it. And thank you for your kind words about the articles in general. I do try to apply the history/culture stuff to our everyday lives. I believe it is all one story. I look forward to seeing your comments in the future.

» JudyBrown - Great article!

You sure do write an interesting article! smile As many times as I have travelled to Wpg, I never knew this place existed, you can be sure I will not miss it next time I'm out that way.

Thanks!

» bridget1 - Thanks, Judy.

This place is different from the view along #1. St. Victor's is close to the Montana border, but definitely worth the detour. The Friends tell me that they are working on re-designing and re-building the wind-damaged stairs and platforms. I don't know about you, but I love driving Saskatchewan. This year, I went on to see Eastend, Wallace Stegner and Sharon Butala country--two of my favourite western writers. Thanks for stopping by.
