Could anybody give me suggestions on what make and model to get? I'd love one with a toilet and shower. If anybody has one to sale, I'd be interested in that also. Are you talking about the hybrid trailers that look like a travel trailer yet have "popdown" bunk ends, a true popup with hard sides, or an A-frame popup? If you're looking for the first, many people are happy with the Jayco Kiwi. Others out there are the Cub, Cabana, Palomino, Rockwood, etc. Just about every travel trailer manufacturer now makes one. I believe all of them have bathrooms that include a shower and toilet. If you're looking for the second, the only one I'm familiar with is the Palomino TXL. Go to www.palominorv.com for more information. A shower/cassette option is available on the Palomino TXL. If you're looking for the third, the two main manufacturers of A-frame trailers are Chalet and A-liner. Go to www.chaletrv.com and www.aliner.com for more information. I know one of those two brands can be had with a shower/cassette. Whatever you're looking for, I do highly recommend the cassette toilet/shower combination. We don't use the shower much in ours (because we often camp overnight and it's not worth it) but we always use the cassette potty. I have a 95 also , at he top of the lifing arms at each corner ther is a nut and bolt attaching to the top check to see if they're too loose but don't over tighten , spray the arms with siliconespray, also ther is 2 zerk fittings under the trailer where the cables run through a rectangular tube grease real good , also spray the cables and pullies withWD40 or something like it. This is my first popup but Ihave owned 4 or 5 trailers and motor homes.Just keep checking and keep an eye on things so little problems don't become big ones. (at the very least an owner of same who does not want you to think him crazy for buying whichever he owns. If this myth was true, why do you suppose Coleman had 34% of the market share? Starcraft and Jayco combined have 33% and the remaining 33% is shared by all other brands on the market. Coleman Guarantees floors and roofs for life. You won't find this in any other brand. At a recent RV show, the Coleman dealer and the Rockwood dealer were side by side. VERY INTERESTING !!! The Rockwood dealer had many models that had manufacture dates in the 2 model years that had already passed. . .none in the Coleman display. One of the new model year Rockwoods had a block of wood strategically placed to give the impression that the outside stove was level. (it was not) I realize that the Coleman dealer in Ocala is small potatoes compared to the Flagstaff dealer, but check out a larger dealer. The reason more Flagstaffs are sold in that area is availability. There is no comparison as far as construction goes. Even the low end Colemans are better built than the high end Rockwoods and are at least comparable to the high end Flagstaffs.(at a better price) By the way. . .at that RV show. .. .Coleman sold 39 trailers, Rockwood 00, Jayco 3 with one of those being a used Coleman. It rests on the back bumber with straps to the top and sides of the liftgate. We are in the process of surveying folding trailers and your question prompted me to wonder whether this CCM rack would function properly and safely with a trialer in tow???? Would there be any conflicts between the tailer and bikes / bike rack?? If you were accusing me, you were most certainly wrong. I am simply a popup camper who did a considerable amount of research before buying my popup and found very little difference in terms of build quality between the popups. Of course everyone's opinion here is biased, as is yours in regards to Coleman. I simply gave my opinions and suggested AAroyo check out all the brands rather than limiting himself to simply Coleman just because the name was familiar. I disagree with your claim that the low end Colemans are better built than the higher ends of other trailers. It's not as though Colemans don't have their own problems. When you have Coleman dealers that won't sell you a popup without an anti-sway bar due to poor balancing, that indicates a problem to me. You say Coleman warrants their roofs and floors for life. This is true...for the original owner. If you are not the original owner and you bought a Coleman with an ABS roof that happens to have roof sag (which has been a MAJOR problem and causes an incorrect seal and water to leak into the front of your popup while driving in the rain and also for water to collect in the middle of the roof and pour out over your door) they will most definitely NOT honor the warranty. Therefore, people should take definite precautions when considering buying a used Coleman with an ABS roof...that is unless they want a sagging roof or want to spend $2000 for a new one.You claim that the only reason Flagstaff sells more popups in the Ocala area is availability, yet you fail to acknowledge that point when mentioning Coleman's national market share. Just because a manufacturer sells a lot of everything doesn't mean they are the best. The "best" is definitely subject to interpretation and personal taste. Clearly one's decision to purchase a specific popup trailer is going to be subject to their personal tastes and preferences. Just because somebody has good things to say about popups other than Coleman does NOT make them a dealer of that brand.
