They don't have many of the features of the higher end Colemans or Jaycos, but that's what I liked about them (I bought a Tracker instead because or local Rockwood dealer was discontinuing the popups and the few he had in stock did not have the options we wanted). People who own Rockwoods and Flagstaffs are very happy with theirs and thought they were a great value. So if you're concerned because you have never heard of them, don't be. They're good popups. They are also quite a bit lighter, when similarly equipped. Here's their website: www.forestriverinc.com Good luck! -- posted by Abbanat » TimF58 - Re: Re: Re: Re: Bike transport?? Help. Try this site http://www.biketote.com and scroll down to popup rack. I have one and it works great. Easy setup and take down. Also no drilling.-- posted by TimF58 » gldnlover - Re: Re: Re: Re: Bike transport?? Help. In response to message posted by Lablover:Sandy, thanks for the info.....my in-laws live in Mechanicsville,MD so maybe they can find one there for me. I even tried Wal-Mart online and can't find anything there either. I have found a Reese Outfitter 3 bike carrier at a couple of different websites, but they are much more expensive. Thanks again,Happy Camping!! Linda -- posted by gldnlover » AAArroyo - Re: Re: I need information on Flagstaff Pop-Ups In response to message posted by Abbanat:Thank you for the information! We'll keep you posted on what we end up getting. We like a particular Flagstaff model, but it does not have -- posted by AAArroyo » Abbanat - Re: Re: Re: I need information on Flagstaff Pop-Ups AAAroyo,Our Tracker has a shower/potty combo and we are glad we bought a popup with this option. We don't have as much seating space (just a dinette) but have found that all the extra counter space we have is needed/used much more than any extra seating space would have. You may want to consider Palomino. They are affordable, weigh less, and considerably less expensive than Coleman, Jayco, or Starcraft. Of course, having a local dealer who can help you out with warranty items and such is just as important as what brand you buy. We're going camping this weekend into the Sierras....can't wait! -- posted by Abbanat » TimF58 - Re: First Timers We're taking the family to Ontario this summer and would like to stay in the Niagra Falls area and then the Toronto area. The main attractions are the falls and the Hockey Hall of Fame. We prefer campgrounds with sites that aren't too close together and have clean showers and restrooms. Private camps are okay as long as we don't feel like we're in a parking lot. Have 3 kids 15, 13 and 11. Thanks in advance for any help.-- posted by TimF58 » webcampn - Popping Noise/Covers Hi all...Let me say I really enjoy this site and all the info. We have been tent campers for about 10 years and recently purchased a 1995 Palomino popup - ac/3 way frig/awning/screen room. I have two questions:1) when cranking it up, we hear a loud "popping" sound - it doesn't seem to be stuck and keeps on going up - any ideas? 2) we can't garage it, so we are considering buying a cover for it. I have read some comments that say this will cause moisture to build up under the cover and ruin the top. ??? Thanks for your help... -- posted by webcampn » DAnnett - Safety in thunderstorms Hi. I was wondering if anyone has information on whether it is safe to remain in your tent trailer during a thunder and lightning storm. Are there any special precautions to take? Do the roof lifter arms conduct electricity? Any advice would be appreciated!-- posted by DAnnett » BruceBCraig - Re: Re: First Timers Hi There,Go to http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/parks/index... which is the booking site for Ontario Provincial Parks and is run by the government. Look for BRONTE Provincial Park and see if the new campsites are open. If so...grab one. The park is beautiful and perfectly situated between Toronto (1/2 hour drive) and Niagara (3/4 hour drive). These sites are new and I'm not sure if available yet, but try it out and good luck. Welcome to our Ontario!
