Another time of the year to look at new trailers is during RV shows. We received a big discount with freebies thrown in on our Coleman Taos.

Hi there and welcome to the group. Our family purchased a 2000 Sedona in the Fall of 1999. Ours had been a rental unit that had been out 4 times on rentals. With fridge, furnace, battery and awning we paid around $4600. Considering ours was a rental unit your price of $5100 sounds pretty good. We have enjoyed our camper for a year now and love it. It doesnt have all the features as some of the other models but it works good for our family(2-adults, 2-kids). It's also pretty easy to tow. We had been using a Plymouth Voyager to tow which worked well, but now have a pick-up. With the Sedona model you don't have to worry about the sagging roof problem that the Coleman's with the ABS roofs have. Hope this helped some. Have fun shopping.

» carlbrow - baja pop up rig

I am searching for a rugged, high clearance pop up camper that can handle baja's terrible back roads. Chalet makes a beefed up model with 14" wheels. Any comments regarding this or other similar models; pricing, availability, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks, Carl

Have you considered the newest in popups called the Box Tent. Fits in the bed of a pickup or can be on a small flatbed trailer. Sets up in minutes. Anyway, look at the web site at www.outbackproducts.net there are some good pictures and a link to a good description of the unit with a picture of the inside as well.

Are you looking for amenities or comfort and economy? There is a new kind of popup, great quality, affordable but not as many goodies. The Box Tent is a great popup you can get with an ice cooler, (or put in a 12volt yourself) awning, boat/roof rack for $32-$4295 depending on the size. Take a look at their web site. Has great pics and a link to a product description with a pic of the inside. If you don't have a pickup, this unit can be put on a trailer and towed. Web site at www.outbackproducts.net Good Luck

Take a look at this site http://www.outbackproducts.net This box tent popup will take you everywhere your pickup goes or it can be trailered as well. They are lightweight, with marine grade, fire retardant material for the tent. Made of fiberglass, is insulated and sets up in minutes - great price too. Good Luck

» FortunateGuy - Used Coleman Destiny

I am looking to purchase a 1994 Coleman Destiny. They are asking $1,800. Is that a good price? Does this particular model have problems with the roof sagging?

Thanks!
Mark

The Destiny is the least expensive series of Coleman popups which means fewer options and more basic. There is no compromise on structure or basic design though. Find out what the Destiny model name is and then look at NADA guides website for values. I think $1800 for any 1994 model is a good price providing it is in good condition. It also depends on the options included.

I have a 1994 Cheasepeake
1 King & 1 Double
porta potty
Auto heater (thermostat)
hot/cold water
outdoor shower
awning
add a room (like the screen room)
seperate outside stove

paid $4000.00 in may of 99

I think 1800.0 is a good buy.. but check the fabric.. if it is sunbrella than it is an excellant buy!
