I bought an old starcraft that didn't pop either. Turns out that 2 cables were broken. Yes, I was able to repair it. It was a 2 man job. Also bought a manual on it. Also, we have a RV junk yard here in Denver that I bought parts from. Had to take it apart and bring in the parts though. But, I paid 40 cents on the dollar for the parts. It can be done!
