Or find out if it's been replaced with new design. This is a known problem with colemans, and you are not covered if it happens...Warranty does not transfer, although it's excellent if you decide to purchase new. As far as weights go, the weight on the units, are w/o added options. So if they had a refrig, or furnace put in, that's not figured into weights...also the cvwr is very important, that takes into account everything you pack in the trailer (and you will) and everything in the van including the van. You don't want to exceed these numbers. The CVWR tells you what your van can handle safely. I agree with Tom about trans. cooler and elec. brakes...he has such good advice. Just .02 cents... Not sure what deals are around your areas, but our dealer had a sale and we got 1,200 off a Coleman Sun Valley. If you can afford a good down payment the montly payments are small. The new models come with lifetime guarantees on the roof and body. Now, maybe I should have an animated campfire graphic for screen saver and "wallpaper" to complete the mood. But then, there's nothing like REAL camping - which for one brief instant I will define as being in temporary quarters, near nature, and without a computer.Memorial Day weekend at Pontiac Lake State (Park, Rec. And, I do plan to do an article on camping in Michigan--honest. We are camping on Coronado Island starting this Sunday for three nights. The island is just off the coast from San Diego--a U.S. Navy Yacht Club no less, but the campground is right on the water (bay) and we can use our coordinated towels, watch TV on our 13 in. portable, stroll along the beach with our fat beagles and use our microwave. The park has electrical hookups!
