You should be able to purchase cable to replace the broken one from your local hardware store. Most sell it bulk by the foot. rethreading it to where you require might be a bit tricky, but follow the existing cable line(s) if need be and see where they are all connected. Check your right rear corner to see if there is something blocking it from going down. Once you get it set up you may be able to see it better. Good luck!

BigAL76;

You can buy a roof repair kit at your local RV dealer. Is yours fibreglass or metal? Either way, they have a roll on sealant that you can put on. It should help. Let me know how it works out!

Does anyone have recommendations for how to even this out and prevent potential leaks?

Congratulations. My room-mate & I purchased a 1965 Ted williams trailer for $500. We like it very much. I am trying to find out just how many trailers were actually sold, and would like to know how many are still on the road. (The Vin is just four numbers long). If you can provide me with any information, I would be thankful

» Armitech - jayco winch handle

I have a 1994 Jayco 1406 that I bought and have never seen it open yet. I took it to an RV shop, and 1000 dollars later I still can't open it. The winch needs a new handle, or a new winch or both. The nut on the winch seems too shallow (1/4 in.) deep, Is this standard, or did something fall off? Where can i find a Jayco winch handle, or is there a suitable substitute? Thanks, Armitech

» schutte37 - Awning for an '83 starcraft.

I just bought an '83 Starcraft pop up trailer. I have been working on it and have it nearly ready to go but now I'm interested in an awning. Where can I find one? Looks like a pretty simple deal. Are there any suggestions about making one?

I have a 1978 Starcraft. We have a metal strip on ours with a channel down the middle. It is located just below the top of the camper. We just took a tarp folded the edge over a piece of 3/8 rope and secured the folded flap with duct tape. I have two adjustable poles we place in the corner grommets of the tarp, and secure them with rope and tent stakes. When setting up you just feed the end of the tarp with the rope through the channel, I found it to be easier to do it, when the top is down, and just flip it on the top of the camper until set up. Then flip it down , set up poles, and stake it down. It has worked well for me and has held up through some pretty severe weather.I dont know if you have the same type of setup, but it is aoretty inexpensive and easy way to do it.
