I've owned my 95 Hatteras for 3 years and should be able to answer most questions. Don't fret about the hard sides and power lift. Easy to deal with. You may email me directly and I'll do my best to answer questions. cd.maplewood@att.net Also... I'm upgrading to a Coleman Caravan, so as of early August after our last vacation in the popup, mine is up for sale; if you know any interested folks. Jim

It was great to read your response. We had the same problem and thought pop-ups weren't for us. Now we see the answer to our problem was so simple. Suzannana

» suzannalove - Battery Issue

We just purchased an '84 Coleman Starcraft. We are confused on running the different kinds of powers. When we are driving are we supposed to have the "deep cell" battery in the trailer connected and on? Also, will the battery recharge in this state while driving? Then when we get to the campsite do we then disconnect or turn off the battery power for the fridge and go to propane only.

As you can tell, we are completenubieses" and would appreciate any and all info. Thank youSuzannana

» NOTSUE - First time writing

We have a 2003 Rockwood Freedom series that we tow with a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 with factory towing package. This is our first year with this pop up and we have used it three times. We had no previous experience with Rockwood brand but so far have been very satisfied with it's performance. Does anyone have info on anything we should look out for. We don't camp far from home because we have several great campgrounds close by.

They usually dont dicker the price on new ones I sell for the coleman dealers at shows. Your best bet is to wait til theres a rv show near where you live you will get a pretty good deal and all kinds of show promos.

Were you able to find anything out about the manufacturer? Am looking for some info myself about the hinge system.
