They sell sections too if you just need to replace a side. Give them a call and they will help you out. -- posted by dnowhat » TexasGypsy - Starmaster XLT I'm new, so I hope I'm doing this correctly. Anyway, I'm looking at a Starmaster XLT 1906 (friend selling it) Has dark brown plaid cushion covers, so I think it is ? 80's?. I need to know about how much to offer for it, and is there a website with specks for older model pop ups (floor plans, amenities, etc?)Thanks bunches everyone. -- posted by TexasGypsy » Soleil1995 - Re: Re: just bought pop up In response to message posted by KK3:I too just bought a pop up. It is a 1995 Coleman Hatteras with the hard sides. I listened very carefully to the gentleman I bought it from I set it up and took it down with him and everything went fine. I took it home and everything went wrong. I figured out what most of my mistakes were (hopefully not too late) but now I am concerned that I got in over my head with the hard sides, and the motorized lift and everything. Does anyone out there know anything about them, -- posted by Soleil1995 » karenandphil - 1997 Jayco 1206 We just bought out first pop-up. We are looking for some information regarding keys, this camper was a one owner and they never had the keys, any ideas where we could get them? Also, where to get sheets for the king and queen bunks?karen -- posted by karenandphil » NJCAMPR - Re: Can't Get Gas Lit on 98 Coleman In response to message posted by smm531:I have a 97 Coleman Westlake and it does take several minutes for the gas devices to light. The problem occurs when air is in the lines. I always light the stove top first. I just hold the lighter to one of the burners for what ever period of time is needed until it catches. If the smell of propane gets to strong, something is wrong. It should light. Once I've done this, I will shot off the burner and go to the hot water heater. I noticed that this always takes several minutes to get ignition. Again, I think due to air in the line. You have to make sure you hold you ignitor in the orifice area ( my H20 heater) has a downward bent peice of metal, where the gas comes out and this is where I hold my lighter. Again, It does take some time before it cathes but it seems to be normal -- posted by NJCAMPR » diver1954 - Re: Re: Starcraft roof fix I have a starcraft of roughly the same era (1970's. The roof has some external sag and the interior shows signs of an earlier leak. I bought the camper used and replaced the lift cables but am unsure how elaborate gutting and rebuilding the roof interior will be. Can I reinforce the roof to remove the sag and allow the water to drain off the exterior instead of puddling? Also, do you know of a coating that I can "paint" on the exterior of the roof to ensure a water tight seal?Paul -- posted by diver1954 » diver1954 - Re: Help for lifting mechanism In response to message posted by ematzavi:I just replace two cables on my Starcraft trailer. I was much less trouble than I thought once I figured out that I had to remove the inner panels to access the cables in each corner of the trailer. Buy the new cable from Home Depot for a few dollars and spend an hour or so and you'll be back in business. One word of advice though. Buy extra cable for the possibility you have to replace a cable while camping and also replace any other cables that don't look real healthy so they don't snap during a trip.
