In response to message posted by Ken12:

When we get orders for replacement canvas down at the shop, we order from somewhere in Michigan. If you send Carrie a note at work I'm sure she can give you more info.

» Ken12 - Re: pop up problems!

In response to message posted by happycampers:

After doing more work on mine I found that there is a spring wrapped cable that pushes up the tubes that raise the top. What happened on mine was that a clamp that holds the tube in place which the cable passes through, had come off allowing the cable to become twisted outside the tube and not pushing up the posts as they should. I hope this helps.

» caarecengi - Coleman pop-up tent trailer CHEAP

I have a 1982 Coleman pop-up tent trailer - I don't have the model number in front of me, but I can provide photos via email. I live in Ventura, CA and the price is right - $500

Everything works - it cranks up OK, canvas is in good shape, mattresses are completed and not ripped, tires are good, stove and sink clean and operational. There are two places where the netting is ripped (about 8" square area on two separate sections), the top vent has leaked, and there is repair needed, and there is a missing taillight lens. There is a box for gear on the trailer and a spare tire mount is also attached.

Email me for more details and photos

Try the "RV, Boat and Motorcyle Trader" magazine. It will have ads from your region with pictures and prices.

» DavidandNett - Pop Up Trailers

We are shopping for a good used pop up in Alabama and have found very little selections in our price range ($2000 or less).

One we did find was a 1989 that had a very strong smell. maybe of mildew as I noticed some black spots on the inside. The smell reminded me of World War II Army Tent. The lady said it was because she just opened up, so we waited 24 hours and returned. Smell was still very much present.

Is it possible to get rid of such a strong smell? Locating a good pop up...we have searched newspapers, traders, word of mouth, etc...anyone have additional suggestions on locating good campers?

Any and All help is much appreciated!!!!!!!

» cortland - coleman campers

We are looking to buy new or used coleman pop up. Like the Greand tour or Elite lines. My question - do the dealers dicker off the sticker price like when you buy a car? If so, is there a way of finding out the costs etc like you can on cars so that you go in with some knowledge of what you are doing?

» rht3 - Re: Bayside or Niagara?

In response to message posted by LindaKing:

We are realy struggling with whether or not to get a shower/toilet. I like the Bayside the best, but I need to convince myself that we don't want a shower/toilet. Help? Help?

Also, Do you keep your Bayside in your garage? I have another struggle. My garage is only 19'8". I know the trailer will be tight, but am I kidding myself about squeezing something that big in there?

Would I be crazy to buy this and pay to have it stored somewhere?
