» Naomi_Mathews - Wonderful pre-camping advice!

Hi, Tom --

Thanks for all of your great and timely camping advice. I'm sure many, many campers will benefit from this article -- including hubby and me. Although we've camped for a good many years, we're always reading up on the latest and best camping tips. Your column is a great resource for campers!

We will be taking an extended camping trip this year, and have already started a check list. It's amazing how doing this helps make for a happier, safer trip.

One thing we're researching is a cell phone company to hook up with that won't charge us an arm and a leg. We feel it's necessary this year to have one on our long trip. Are there any you would recommend that would give us cell phone service from the West coast to the mid-west as far as Nebraska?

Also -- have you ever camped in the Grand Teton National Park area? We've been through Yellowstone, and are contemplating taking in the Tetons on our return trip from Nebraska this year. If you've camped there, how did you find the camping facilities?

» Tom_Stephens - Cell and Tetons

Thanks for your post. Pam and I just signed up with Sprint PCS--$29.99/mo., 120 minutes, no charge for long distance. The network is coast to coast and growing.

We have always camped up at Yellowstone and drove down to the Tetons, but plan to camp there ourselves this spring--probably in June. I'll let you know what I find when I do some more research on the camping facilities there.

Keep Comin' Back!
Yours,

» Naomi_Mathews - Thanks for your info, Tom ...

I'll call Sprint today and get all their info. That's a great rate for coast to coast cell phone coverage. We really need to have that these days just to be on the safe side.

We're excited to see the Tetons -- that's the one area we always by-passed in years gone by as it was out of our way. I'll be stopping back to see what you find, Tom.

Thanks a bunch!
