To make life easy, and to still enjoy a nice flavor and sauce use Cream of Soup for sauce mix. Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom are ideal. More flavor also if you saute chicken in a mexican beer.

Thanks HC for your advise. I used to use a lot of canned soups in my cooking, but have lately been on a sauce making kick at home. I love making sauces and trying to make them work for family and professional cooking without going to all the trouble that Escoffier took.

One advantage to using pre-cooked chicken in this recipe is that it makes the process flow quickly when your camping away from home. However, there's no reason you can't cook (or marinade) the chicken in beer at home as you're getting ready for the next trip.
