Most people think of Zinfandel as being California's own grape variety, but there's one with a much greater claim and much longer history.

Mission - the first variety planted, the first to make wine.

Try this flavoursome dry red as made by Nine Gables and Story in Amador County!!

Of course! I've tasted quite decent wines made from Mission grapes grown in Amador County. Thanks for bringing this varietal to our attention.

I still think of Zinfandel as being the California varietal...and Amador County Zinfandel is hard to beat. Lodi is moving up as a leader in great Zins as well.
