I need help with my Calla Lillies: calla lillies

I live in zone 5 and have left the lillies out for the past three winters which are bad in Northern PA just lucky they have survived should I remove the many seed pods now or wait until I lift them and bring them in do paperbags do the trick? what is the best way to keep them over winter and should we split the plant now too?
