» Ixia - seeds and seedlings

In response to message posted by Cercis:

I'm just thinking about buying seed to plant in August in pots here. Later on I'll buy some established seedlings.
It's still too cold here in Victoria (winter and frosts) yet to put them outside but I like to start mine early.

» whisperingoakes - tomato rot

I live in northern Michigan. our summer has been very cool and it is warmer now than it has been most of the summer. Most of my tomatoes are still green. The few tomatoes that have begun to ripen all have rot on the bottom of the tomato. Whatss up?

Should I pick them green and let them ripen inside or What/ Thanks

In response to tomato rot posted by whisperingoakes:

Ripen tomatoes indoors when the weather turns cold and frost arrives. Green tomatoes will ripin up inside, but if left on the vine will die.
