» darkangel1 - cake decor what kind of grooms cake should i make for a minister who really its into much?-- posted by darkangel1 » LisanAaron3 - Re: cake decor There is a cake pan made by Wilton that is the shape of a book. What about using that and perhaps doing a book, bible, or something along those lines.-- posted by LisanAaron3 » hummerdime - Grooms Cake (ice chest with beer bottles) Does anyone have a picture or idea where I can get a grooms cake designed as an ice chest with beer bottles sticking out of it. We saw this at a bridal show and haven't been able to find it since. Any help is appreciated. It will be a part of the Groom's Table that will have a Fishing Theme. Bake fill and Ice a two layer oblong cake. I'm going to try to use a chocolate icing with RED tint.. much like you tint Chocolate Cake for Red Velvet Cake. To make the texture of the Ice chest. Buy a very in-expensive roll of paper towels and press into the icing after it has set for a little while to give it texture. Then cut out holes in the top to place the beer bottles in. I bought some acrylic "ice cubes" to place around the bottles and you can use gum paste or fondant to form a handle around one side. I bought thWal-Martbes at Wal-Mart in the Craft Section, near the wedding stuff. I also have seen them at Garden Michaelsttery, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby. I hope this helps. This is the idea that is in my head from seeing the cake one time at the Bridal Extravaganza. -- posted by WeddingCakesIMak
