Gumbo Time in Cajun Country

Hi Paula,I was just thinking about the same thing. The cool weather feels great and it is definately Gumbo time.
My husband loves a file gumbo but I like Okra. I started a little whole tomatoes or Rotel in the Okra gumbo and I like it better that way. Although my Mom would have a fit.
Did you know that the word "Gumbo" actually means Okra?
And I have to have potato salad with gumbo especially a file gumbo.
