» Naomi_Mathews - Congrats on seeing Tiger Swallowtail... Carol, that's wonderful! I have yet to see one here this spring. After today's high winds ALL day long, they may never find their way here!Do you think those little blue ones near the ground could be in the "Blues" family of butterflies? Those might be "Spring Azures" -- a sweet little species in the "Blues" family. There are also "Silvery" Blues that like lupine. OR, they could be a beautiful "Eastern Tailed Blue." They like vetches, alfalfa, and clovers. According to my resource map, they are found in your area. It would be interesting to know what your small orange one was. If you can identify that one, do let us know! Thanks for visiting, Carol. Always nice to see you in my butterfly garden! -- posted by Naomi_Mathews
