If you're really on a tight budget stay in luxury condos or villas instead of hotel rooms. Not only are self-catering accommodations more spacious but they are also much cheaper.Renting a 3 bedroom condo with friends, in-laws or siblings will cost you about $300- $400 per night. However if this condo sleeps 10 people, that's only $30 per day per person. Not bad for a 3900 sq ft.(that's was the size of the condo in Mexico we had rented)
It gets even better, my family and I hired a private chef(local price for international quality cooking) to cook our meals and save a ton of money that way.
