I plan to build an outdoor bar with your technique. I've priced manufactured PVC "Bamboo" bars and am sure I can build one for less than the $1500 retail cost. I would like your suggestion for binding/gluing the bamboo together with another weather proof material. I'm planning to wrap the ends of each tube with some kind of brown or green nylon cord to imitate the grass used in the natural versions. I haven't thought about the bar top material yet, but "Rattan" look shelf liner comes to mind. Thanks, Ted-- posted by LongLongTrailer
