» chessguyjim - Celibacy

I found the article written very good. I am considering being abstinent for purposes of spiritual growth or what I would like to refer to as psychic growth. I'm very interested in finding out how much psychic energy is used up by sex? Because I am interested in containment. I would like to focus my energy on the higher psychic centers, the head, heart, and throat, and divert energy away from the lower centers. But I'm just curious if sex uses up a trivial amount of psychic energy or a substantial amount? Is this a topic of Mystery, important for such? I'm not that knowledgeable about Buddhism and was also wondering what exactly is meant by 'non-attachment' and what are the 'eight worldly concerns'? It seems very interesting.
