TRUE, it did. In the 80s and early 90s. But unfortunately, the ABC has not shown The Goodies for at least 5 or 6 years, and its fans are eagerly awaiting (though seriously doubting) its return.
It's disheartening to know that kids who are 16/17 have never even heard of The Goodies. I'm 22.
They were truly a great part of, not just British television but, the history of television. They should have the same standing as Monty Python, considering the two shows were connected.
I think I might start a petition, of which I'm sure there are many.
