Noted in this article, is the comment that the Goodies aired in Australia at a timeslot which made "The Goodies" a children's TV show. Being one of those children that subsequently became addicted, I would truly like to thank the ABC for this decision. But I can't help but think that the BBC stuffed up! The Goodies are Television ICONS in Australia, and largely because todays 30 somethings (who are generally TV addicted) were amongst those children. Perhaps, if the BBC had of taken note of what occured in Australia, and re-run the Goodies in a similar slot, then more people could be happier for knowing The Goodies, some would be richer and the Goodies would have a Pythonesque status....Perhaps.

Despite this comment, obviously laced with mirth and sarcasm, I am deeply grateful to the ABC, I just feel it is a modern day tragedy that re-runs of the Brady Bunch happen over and over and over, while I haven't seen a Goodies episode in over ten years. Bugger.

So, in having said this, if anyone wants me, I
will be in the spleen.
