» Floyd79 - Saturday morning kids' shows

Swap Shop, Saturday Superstore, Going Live - you're making me feel like a very old man. Unfortunately, Live and Kicking has never been the same since Zoe Ball and Jamie Theakston left (they've now been re-united on Channel 4's show The Priory). L+K is still going, but ITV's answer to it, SM:TV Live, has upped the weirdness stakes
with a competition called Wonkey Donkey, a Friends piss-take called Chums and a Pokemon rap involving a bright red knitted Pikachu jumper. The most popular childrens' shows in the U.K. have always thrived on the sense that the audience is in on a joke that the uninitiated can't appreciate; SM:TV Live has certainly cashed in on this fact.

I like Coupling. I especially like one of the female characters. I forget her name but it's not Gina Bellamns' or Sarah Alexander's. Speaking of Sarah, does anybody know what's become of "Smack the Pony"? Bravo hasn't shown it in awhile. I am waiting for new episodes or more from the first season.

Matishen,
I was never a big fan of Coupling, but I was a big fan of Smack The Pony. So far, only two series (six episodes each) have been made, and as far as I know there are no current plans to film a third series. Incidentally, have the Coronation Street episodes featuring Fiona Allen been shown in the U.S. yet? If not, watch out for them; I was pleasantly surprised to find that Ms. Allen is a strong a serious actress as she is a comedian.

We don't get Street in the U.S. Well, it's shown on the CBC so I'm sure you can get it near the border. Bravo has been showing Pony but only like the first season. They are great but I want more. I especially like the songs. "Bathroom Man". "Please don't touch me there, Please don't touch my Hair."

Actually, I think it's series two that they show here.
