» PastPanfan - Thanking Panfan /Recent video's if not OLD stuff anyone?

Thanks to Panfan for the info re Ruth Pearson, I really did have 'a thing' for her!(still do).

Since I am in the middle of nowhere at the bottom end of the planet, I did not get chance to see any of those retrospective TV programmes. Anyone out there willing a loan of a video that might have been taken (I obviously cannot LEGALLY ask for a copy from anyone !!!)..I'll send postage moiney back to old blighty.

Although I've only got a bit of video archive maybe a swap could be arranged?!

I recently did a BBC hunt for videos. As expected:
(i) No mention of PPeople video's nor old TOTP videos.
(ii) No access to archives is apparent ..some talk of 'scholars' granted permission to 'written' archives.

I reckon best bet would be for Dandridge above (DeeDee's friend) to maybe mention?? see what contacts DeeDee may still have in Beeb could arrange if possible a 'copyright letout' and maybe produce a limited run of the In Concert video for us starved people. This is a very cheeky thing to maybe ask I know but it's a dead end otherwise in many respects, very sad for fans.

I know that the InConcert stuff actually is not published anymore because I tried to get an old John Martyn 'In Concert' and thats also now no longer published.

However I DO knoew that copyright letouts are very common in the book world for out of print books so maybe it is the same for video material, even for the BBC, given a bit of good faith?

How about it?
