» BuckyRea - This is how you read Heart of Darkness When I was in college, the way we read Heart of Darkness was that a group of us English majors got together at about 8 in the evening and locked ourselves in the English house. Then we took turns reading out loud, about half a chapter per turn, and read that sucker straight through the night. About the same time that Kurtz was going "The Horror! The Horror!" sunlight came slipping through the venetian blinds and we all gave this suterranian "oooo-" at the same time.I'm still amazed that this was the author's second language he was writing in.
