» lizajane15 - Baby fish scraping on the rocks of aquarium. I have 6 baby mollies that will be a week old tomorrow, 4 baby marigold swordtails that are a week old today and one baby painted swordtail that is about a month old in a 2 and half gallon tank. I have noticed that my painted swordtail is scraping its self along the bottom of the tank and along the plastic on the plants. i also have one of the baby mollies doing this. they are too little to see if they have any kind of spots on them. Should i go ahead and treat them with formalite 2 for ich just in case they have it. i also have rid ich plus, small fish saver and neomyicin capsules. Does any one have any suggestions on what i should do.Lisa -- posted by lizajane15 » Ashes - Re: Baby fish scraping on the rocks of aquarium. Lisa,Where your fry are so young, I would try to treat them with aquarium salt first. Most of the ich/ick treatments are harmful to young or weak fishes, so that would be a last resort. Hope your fish are doing okay! Shannon In response to message posted by lizajane15: -- posted by Ashes » Peetsi - baby platys I have 15 baby platys with ich. I divided the tank with them on oneside and my adult fish on the other. There is 3 female platys, 2 neon dwarf rainbow and a raphael catfish. I've had acriflavin in the tank for about 7 days. My adult fish don't have it anymore but my babys do. I set up a 5 gallon tank to put my babys in. Should I continue with the acriflavin or should I try salt first. If salt how much do I put in. I have no rocks only a fake plant. It's 5 gallon. 2 of my female platys are starting to swim funny and lay on bottom of tank. Help me please. Or if I do the acriflavin do I give them the full dose? It says 2 drops per gallon.-- posted by Peetsi
