» bajones - I would be scared to have just a lumpectomy

All though this procedure preserves the breast, does it not give you more of a chance of reoccurance? Tough issue. I had no choice but to have the mastectomy. I have come across alot of women that had the lumpectomy and had a reoccurance and ended up with a mastectomy. Let me know what YOU think.

Bobbi - what is your opinion today? I am up against that very question. My surgeon assures me the lumpectomy w/radiation will result in the same final objective? I am not so sure.
