Haven't read this one yet, but its definitely
on my list.

I thought Binchy's LIGHT A PENNY CANDLE was
absolutely fabulous!

Lynne,

Maeve Binchy is fast becoming one of my favorite writers. I absolutely adored "Circle of Friends" and I can't wait to read "Tara Road".

I think I've read them all. When I was in England, I'd buy them as soon as they came out. Now I'm in Sweden, and I rely on the library to get them for me. Fortunately she's so popular that they do get her books in English!

Tara Road was as good as her other books, but I don't think that any of them can beat Light a Penny Candle for getting the reader wrapped up in the lives of the characters.

So when's the next one due out?

I also enjoy her writing, and thought Evening Class was a great read. I just finished Tara Road..my mother-in-law bought it at Oprah's suggestion and couldn't get past the first chapter. Two other people had told me it was difficult and that they simply could not get into it. I got the book from her and did not find it difficult at all. I suppose Binchy might be a unique taste and not savory to every reader.

Saralou,

I can't wait to read Tara Road. It's rare that Oprah picks an author I've already read. That's so unusual that two people could not get into that book. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they disliked a Binchy book, but to each her own.

Katie,

I dont' know when the next Binchy book will be out. I checked her official site but there was no word there. Does anyone else know if there is one in the works?

Kathy
