a great topic
This archived discussion is "read only".
» annej - thanks for doing this topic I'm so glad you're doing this topic on suite 101. I have made some very simple little chapbooks but I sure struggled getting the print right and putting them together. Your step by step guidance will be a great help when I get back to making some more.-- posted by annej » Terrie_Bittner - This really is a fascinating topic. This really is a fascinating topic. When my children were little, we used to put their stories in book form, but never so elaborately. we'll have to try it. Does this topic include book repair? I have a number of very old books that are falling apart. I wondered if some of these techniques could be used to repair them.-- posted by Terrie_Bittner » MaryB_16 - Book Repair Hi Terrie,Thanks for stopping by! It's great that you put your children's stories in book form. Hopefully they will continue to be interested in making their own books. The Book Arts topic definitely covers the art of repairing books, but repair is different than straight binding. Check back next month for articles on how to repair old and/or rare books and to learn about conservation techniques. -- posted by MaryB_16
