» ballyfit - What do I try next ?

I don't really know how I injured my should or exactly what the injury is, but from what I've read it seems like a rotator cuff injury. This pain has been going on for about 3 months now. It's most painful when I do bench press with free weights, which I've stopped doing for about 6 weeks. I have continued to do chest on machines. It seems like it is getting better until I try to go back and do bench press, then it seems to start all over again. Any advice on whether I should stop all shoulder and chest lifting completely and if so how long should I lay off and how long could realistically take to heal completely?

I've been playing a lot of tennis. Ever since I started serving harder, my shoulder has continued to become more and more painful! I've heard about rotatorcuf injury and I'm unsure whether I have that or not. My muscles are sore in front of shoulder and muscle from my shoulder blade up to top of shoulder. What should I do?

Ballyfit. I have the exact same problems and symptions as you. The problem has been lingering in my left shoulder (top, front center) for three weeks now. Mainly during flat bench, inclined dumbell flys, and especially decline benchpress. Again with me the same thing, it goes away completely outside the gym then each week I get so motivated for a strong chest workout and my second set around the eight rep the pain kicks in again. I would appreciate it if you forwarded me any replies you may receive. I will do the same.
