I got hold of this discussion from google. I am able to sympathise with a lot of the posts. I had a hernia op 3 months ago. It was a bad one as my hernia became strangulated and I was only a few hours away from losing the use of my bowels.

The doctors told me 2.5 months before I could lift again and I waited probably two months before going back to the gym.

I've been trying to take it easy but I've started to get a pain in my groin after lifting. It is quite bad and hurts when I walk around.

I would be grateful if anyone could tell me if they have experienced this follwoing a hernia op.
