When I had gotten divorced, I had thought about that "picture perfect" family lifestyle and realized that there is no such thing whether on TV land or real life.

It is funny, but when I thought of ALL the shows even back in the sixties this is what I came up with:

Brady Bunch - Step parent/Step family - spouses passed away.

My Three Sons - Mother/Wife passed away/Single Dad

Partridge Family - Divorced?/Single Mom

One Day at a Time - Divorced/Single Mom

Courtship of Eddie's Father - Wife passed away/Single Dad

Alice - Divorced/Single Mom

Now into the 90's -

Step by Step - Step Parent/Step Family (Suzanne Sommers)

Full House - Mother passed away/Single Dad

I know that there is more.
