Some of the greatest movies are in glorious black and white. If I had to pick my favorites I'd probably pick "Casablanca" or "Some Like it Hot."

I was curious what some of you would pick as your favorites.

My favorite black and white movies? Off the top of my head, I would name these: KEY LARGO (probably my favorite black and white movie of all time), Orson Welle's TOUCH OF EVIL and CITIZEN KANE, The Marx Brothers' HORSE FEATHERS, Laurel and Hardy's BLOCK-HEADS, ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES, OUR VINES HAVE TENDER GRAPES, W.C. Fields' THE BANK DICK and IT'S A GIFT, Chaplin's THE KID, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, CARNIVAL OF SOULS, and Hitchcock's STRANGERS ON A TRAIN.

As you can see, I have a soft spot in my heart for Warner Brothers classics, great old comedies and creepy horror movies.

THE HUSTLER. Paul Newman's superstar charisma at its peak with George C. Scott and Piper Laurie balancing this incredible force of nature. Tight, perfect script, awesome set designs, wonderful score and gorgeous black and white cinematography.
