» smiles_042001 - ovcon 35

I was on Ovcon 50 for almost a year because of breakthrough bleeding, but switched to the 35 because I didn't like the side effects (moodiness, etc). Since I got on the 35 i have had 2 week long periods and a lot of pain, now I am switching to low-ogestrel and hopefully it helps

My sister in on ovcon 35 and recommend it to me. she has not experience any side effects except that she lost a whole lot of weight just by being on ovcon 35-- and the weight loss is in her favor. It must be that everybody reacts differently. I have not been on bc for years and I just recently gave birth.Do you recommend ovcon 35. Please help because I'm really considering it.

» tmjdsb - Ovcon 35

I've been on Ovcon 35 for 2 months now. Suprisingly no weight gain. The doctor gave it to me for heavy periods and cysts on my ovaries. My periods are very light! I hardly have one at all. The only side effect I've had is that if you drink caffeine - that will affect you. I feel like it affects my heart (more pressure than usual). So try to cutback on caffeine.

Otherwise though a great pill! Not as many side effects as other pills.

» pinkskies - Ovcon-35 with St. Johns Wart

I read somewhere that you should not mix Ovcon-35 and St. Johns Wart. Does anyone know anything about this? I was looking into taking St. Johns Wart but am scared that it may cause a reaction with my Ovcon-35.

» colleenmm - Ovcon-35 with St. Johns Wart

My doctor told me, and I have read this in several books and magazines, that St. John's Wart makes all birth control pills less effective. An alternative to St. John's Wart for treatment of depression is SamE. It doesn't have any interactions with birth control, but it is more expensive.

» rissalovesyou - Ovcon 35- confused

I have been on this pill for 2 days. Tomorrow will be my 3rd. I have started bleeding today. I am assuming that it is breakthrough bleeding, but it is rather heavy so im not sure if it is breakthrough or a period. I was also wondering if breakthrough bleeding lasts for a long time, or if it bleeds for a day or two and then stops, and then might resume again. Please respond to me?

As i read your comments I realised that I have the exact same side affects! Dizziness, bad taste in mouth. UGH it's horrible. I used to take Yazmine, and I liked that brand. Im going to switch back asap

» JenIsCurious - the pill!

I take ovcon 35, ortho lo made me ill. I haven't had any kind of spotting, or any of the other side effects until recently, I think I may be suffering a mild case of depression. All hormone pills react differenlty with different people.
