Depo-Provera What Are The Risks?: Depo Victim????

I just started taking Depo earlier this year and I was motivated by the whole "no period" factor which in itself is great. What I didn't count on was the continual bleeding. At first it was minor which my Gyno told me to expect. After my 2nd shot though it has been horrible. I have been bleeding continuously (from light spotting to full on menstrual bleeding) for almost 3 weeks. A friend of mine has said that it usually takes three to four shots for the bleeding to go away, but then I had another friend who says it went away with the second shot. I am non to thrilled with this continual bleeding, it makes me feel dirty and unclean. I'm due for my next shot at the end of this month, even if things do get better I am still considering getting off Depo and go back on the pill. Some friends have also mentioned oral contraceptives (there is one that begins with an "L") and a lot of them that used Depo before use it and love it. Does anyone else have any experience with oral contraceptives (besides the pill)?
