Unknown Bird

Just moved back from central Florida, after twenty years. That's where I became a birder. Now in Front Royal, Virginia, Shenandoah Mountains. Started feeding the birds here. Have been able to identify all birds via my Audubon Book. But this white-necked bird is about the size of a crow, maybe a bit bigger. He was on the ground feeding, but not clear if he was eating the seed. The robins come by too but I know they are bug eaters. Any ideas what kind of bird this might be?-- posted by pendragonone
