My husband thinks I was being too critical, but there were many things that bothered me about War of the Worlds. Two examples:
  • When the lightning storms first begin, anything electric or battery-operated goes dead, including Ray's watch. So, how are people later using digital cameras and camcorders?
  • Robbie was a completely useless waste of space. He had no motivation at all. He didn't want to help people ... he didn't want to kick alien butt ... he just wanted to "see" stuff? Huh??

That's what I noticed as well.

I didn't really like the character of Robbie. A bit to 2D.

A part from that it was a great change from the "America saves the world" alien invasion film.smile
