» DocKozzaki - Re-Makes of Classics

Re-making classic movies is a travesty that is being foisted off upon the public. Movies such as the Longest Yard, Magnificent 7, Oceans 11 & many more need to be left alone. The original is/was a classic. Any "re-make" is a joke.

Adam Sandler as pro-football player reeks! If I was Burt Reynolds I'd be puking my guts out when ever I thought about this travesty! The same goes for re-makes of TV shows. The new Gilligan's Island is a pathetic attempt. Bob Denver was the only credible Gilligan. Why is it that perfectionmust be tampered with by these money hungry morons who decide what the public wants?

Well, when I can get a straight answer to that question you will be among the first to know it. Just a few days ago I had a rather long telephone conversation with a producer for an independent production company, in which I attempted to get him to explain to me why it is Hollywood increasingly refuses to consider original material and, instead, relies on the twice-chewed meal. After almost ninety minutes I gave up and all but hung up on him because he never did give me a straight answer.

My suggestion, despite this, is thus: Do it yourself. Eventually Hollywood will lose enough of its collective audience it will have to pay attention and respond accordingly.

By the way: Thank you for taking time to read and respond.
