» DocKozzaki - Re-Makes of Classics
Re-making classic movies is a travesty that is being foisted off upon the public. Movies such as the Longest Yard, Magnificent 7, Oceans 11 & many more need to be left alone. The original is/was a classic. Any "re-make" is a joke.Adam Sandler as pro-football player reeks! If I was Burt Reynolds I'd be puking my guts out when ever I thought about this travesty! The same goes for re-makes of TV shows. The new Gilligan's Island is a pathetic attempt. Bob Denver was the only credible Gilligan. Why is it that perfectionmust be tampered with by these money hungry morons who decide what the public wants?

In response to Re-Makes of Classics posted by DocKozzaki:Well, when I can get a straight answer to that question you will be among the first to know it. Just a few days ago I had a rather long telephone conversation with a producer for an independent production company, in which I attempted to get him to explain to me why it is Hollywood increasingly refuses to consider original material and, instead, relies on the twice-chewed meal. After almost ninety minutes I gave up and all but hung up on him because he never did give me a straight answer.
My suggestion, despite this, is thus: Do it yourself. Eventually Hollywood will lose enough of its collective audience it will have to pay attention and respond accordingly.
By the way: Thank you for taking time to read and respond.
