Or was she a bit of a tart and slept with everyone?Don't mind me - it's 2.00 o'clock in the morning in my part of the world and I wanted to say something slightly more interesting than "hello, enjoyed your article." (Which I did, by the way.) Cheers, Donna -- posted by A1_Viking » Scribe4u - Character Development Great suggestions, Travis !! This subject came up in another writing forum here at the suite and I know from my studies about plays and my own fiction writing - actually, any writing I do - character development is very important. One essential for me is having a strong emotional response to my characters. I also sometimes use storyboards. More often note cards with the characters' quirks, habits, looks, etc. etc. But I've not yet written a screenplay so those methods might not work as well. I'll find out from you though, won't I-- posted by Scribe4u » A1_Viking - Re: Re: So why did Henry sleep with Maggie? Or was she a bit of In response to message posted by Scribe4u:My theory is Maggie is a bit of a tart with a soft spot for weak males, (she likes to feel powerful as well as desirable)and Henry, probably needing a strong shoulder to cry on, had too much to drink and took a few liberties - and took a little bit more than a shoulder! I hope his girlfriend doesn't find out - if he has one... I wonder if he's feeling remorseful? I wonder if Maggie made him breakfast? Ha ha! Donna -- posted by A1_Viking » Peggy_Kord - I Agree! A strong character is everything.I have to admit I haven't attempted screenwriting. I have written a couple of children's plays and even a children's musical. I like the way you interject your personal experiences. You would make a novice writer feel very comfortable. I am sure all writers have at least one play, novel, short story etc. hidden in a closet! I do!!!!!!! -- posted by Peggy_Kord » SandyMcC - good tips Thanks, Travis! -- posted by SandyMcC » blazzer774433 - Starting, getting in touch with others, and making it work I'm 17 years old and I have had an idea for about three years now. I know this probably isn't where this belongs..so I apologize in advance. Anyway, I have had an idea for quite some time for a good screenplay, and have even tried to write it a few times, but get tired of worrying about how to get it sold when I'm done. It is ( bear with me please ) a medieval fantasy that will take place during a battle between heaven and hell. It will hit many topics that people won't like, such as God in manifest, blood hungry angels, and a mysterious pact between heaven and hell towards the end to leave the space for a sequel. I want to know if any of you would be willing to aid me in the research of writing and starting this whole thing. If so, please give me and e-mail, sadly I probably won't be able to make it here much, and give me your info and what you could help with. Thank you very much for the help I hope to get.-- posted by blazzer774433
